Truck camper window leaks

Hi Guys, I went through the topics but did not find one on my problem. I have a 1996 Angler slide in camper, in the cab over the front has a large window that is letting moisture in. I just got this TC and there is caulking all around the windows, lights, etc., so someone did try to stop the leaks. But does anyone have any experience with this that can help me out with ideas before I just take it apart?
I have tried to find this problem on the internet, some say to take the window out completely. It is kinda nice with it there but I also do not want to ruin the camper with it leaking.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated... thanks.

  • Thanks for the replies guys... are there any good videos that any of you know of someone replacing it properly to get a good seal? I have not found one yet. Thanks and have a great day!
  • Eliminate the window if possible. For the current leak take a good look at the clearance lights.

Have someone using low pressure water slowly go back and forth on the outside. Start low and slowly make their way upward. Leak should become obvious.

Low pressure water, meaning simulate raining.
  • take it out, and you,ll find wood rot that needs repaired common to those windows. on all campers. repair it right ,using the right caulk and it,ll be fine, dicor is a very good caulking .
