most truck campers have smaller AC's than big campers. I think my Arctic Fox 990 was a 9K btu? it ran off my Honda 2K. I could store the Honda 2K in the back cabinet under the ladder on my 990. I think the northstar had a cabinet you could put a honda 2K in and run it in the cabinet.
I would not buy a generator on a truck camper, I would use a 2000-3500 portable.
on board generators are heavy and you can't leave them at home. They suck propane. they vibrate the camper body, and you can't put them out in teh bushes at the end of the cord to make them quieter.
