- 54sudsExploreras a long time TC 'er I feel sort of sorry for all the so called elite rvers, who are missing the ability to closely experience remote areas but I'm sure the hiker /tent campers feel the same about us Tc' ers
- Royals_FanExplorerAwhile back I stopped at a dealer in Oregon to look at a used TC.The salesman said" we used to carry new TC but quite frankly TC owners are a pain in the ass"
- Old_DaysExplorer IITo Bob in California. I am really jealous, and also happy for you to visit every state is something that I will never be able to do. That is a great accomplishment.

Bob in Calif.
Yeah, I think they all winter in the SW and summer in the NW :).
But I don't think I have ever seen a TC in an RV park. Just on the roads, and parked on city streets, and maybe in FS campgrounds. - spacedoutbobExplorerWhen I took a cross country trip from California to New Jersey back in 2012, I saw hardly any truck campers once I got past Utah. Bob in Calif. - Old_DaysExplorer IIYou don't see many Truck Campers in Wisconsin. We have traveled all over here this summer and we only have seen 4 TCs. We also wave when we see another TC and they wave back.
- 1stgenfarmboyExplorerI feel that number to be pretty close around here, I would say I see 123 other campers to every 1 TC, will make it hard to sell when I move to something different.
- Kayteg1Explorer IIWhen we might never know what is behind statistics, I can see several possible and variable explanations.
The only time I used Autotrader in my life was when I could not sell my F450 flatbed. After 6 months AT refunded me my listing fees on unsold truck.
Other vehicles sold on craigslist, so no need to pay high to AT. - jefe_4x4ExplorerI've never been in the minority before. Elite doesn't quite get it though. Maybe it's because I live where i do that I see so many TC's around, and maybe I'm always looking for them. These numbers alone would give credence to the most expensive per sq. ft. title we wear.
I've said it before: "Truck campers are not for everyone." Maybe that's a good thing.
jefe (a lot of unequivocal 'maybes' above) - Reddog1Explorer III have never heard a TC owner claiming to be a member of an "elite" group. I have no idea as to where RVTrader get their numbers. One interesting fact is that many Truck Campers are bought and sold without involving registration and such. To my knowledge, all other types of RVs are subject to registration, and easier tracked.
Regardless of the why, it borders on being a Troll to say the "Truck Campers really are an "elite" group". Each RV type has a special offering over other RV types. I question any could be considered "elite".
