Maybe that is correct, maybe not when it comes to TC, but some states allow 7000 lb trailer with no brakes and sets 75 feet long.
Don't try to drive it in California. - mkirschNomad II

What's important is the state where the truck is registered. All other states have a reciprocal agreement with that state regarding most vehicle registration laws, as in if it's legal in that state, it's legal in any other state. - twodownzeroExplorerI find it interesting that you posted this but didn't fill out where you live. How would we have any idea?
- RoyBExplorer IITo me it sounds so silly to have a tag on the truck and require a different tag on the slide-in truck camper haha... I have never had a slide-in truck camper but I assume this will hide the rear state tag on the truck... If this was the case for me I would probably move the truck tag to the trailer so it would be seen???
Here in Virginia I have permanent tag for the small utility trailer I have and also one for the fifth wheel trailer I have...

Ditto.
Washington does. Title and license plate required. Yearly license renewal is about $18.00- thebrainExploreralabama and sometimes Florida
- bwlyonExplorerDepends on the state you live in. Missouri does not require title or registration as it considers a slide in truck camper as cargo not a camper. All manufacturers of slide in truck campers do provide an MSO manufacturers statement of origin when new to the purchasing dealer. I know that if you live in a non title/registration state the Truck Camper Warehouse keeps the MSO in there files if you purchase a new camper from them or a used one they we’re the original purchasing dealer of. If you buy a used camper and live in a registration state and purchase from a non registration getting the MSO may prove futile, and applying for title without it can be a mess of paperwork. If you’re lucky you live in a non titling/registration state.
