Yes, Pastime (now called Blackhawk) makes an 8' without a bathroom. I just purchased one and had it custom made to 7' for my short bed truck. Its a great camper! Apache Camping Center (Oregon/Washington) is the only dealer that carries them that I am aware of.

If you are interested in used, you might want to see if you can find a lance 805. No bathroom, just a place for the porta-potty. East west bed, but has a bunk option over the dinette. Fairly light for a hard side.

I had 2003 pastime 700 that did not have a bathroom and it was very nice. we decided to sell it when we upgraded to a newer truck with 8' bed. now I have a camper with a bathroom but I miss the pastime because it was in awesome shape and very well maintained like new when I bought a few years ago.

Pastime, Sun lite, Adventurer. Some of the old Slumber Queens are still around too.

From Oregon, and they don't update their website often as you can see:) but I think Pastime will make them without bathrooms. I bought my 93 pastime used, and they seem to have excellent support for their products.

It's a Callen. A local San Diego company (now defunct due to bad customer service) used to make them. Mine is an empty shell, but they would make them with any level of finish inside. Steel frame, aluminum siding. Heavy, but tough. I thought of fitting it out inside, but it sits on the bed rails, and has gaps around the rails and tail gate, so it will never really make a good, isolated living space.

I've seen the Livin Light campers before. Other than the fact that I'm not buying new, they might have the worst layout I've ever seen.

In response to some other comments, I'll check out the Lance. I have considered an older Bigfoot, even though it would mean accepting a bathroom.

Alaskans are nice, but a new one is out, because I'm not buying new. If I were, I would just buy a flatbed Grandby.

I got myself stuck on the hill shown in the picture, but drove right out once I aired down to 25 front and 30 rear. So it's not a case of being undertired, but wanting to keep the mass down. With how weight always seems to grow, I'd really like to keep a lid on it early.

But we shall see.

Four Wheel campers is making hard sided versions of their popups. No potties in most of those and they're also pretty good off-road.

We looked into ordering a Northstar without the bathroom. Not only were they willing to do it, they were actually going to discount it the price of the cassette toilet.

After looking at the pic an vid, I would say you might have a floatation problem, not a 'too-big-TC' problem. I have worked on this with my TC and put super singles on the rear which can be deflated down as low as 20 pounds and the fronts also. This is why i stuck (no pun intended) to 16" wheels. I have successfully run the dunes with my TC. Here is a pic of me on endless sand, when I was nudged to lower the pressure to 20 rr, and 24 front. No problem, even going uphill. It's blurry, but this is stuck going uphill on the dune at street pressure:

back on the dirt road, this is what the deflection looks like with fronts @ 24 lbs. and rr's @ 20. I wouldn't want to drive to N.Y. this way, but I drove the 16K pounds of machinery uphill right over the blowsand. Don't ask how I got here, it's a long story.
