12 or 13 miles a day? That's a lot! You have so many options in Yosemite that are actually a lot shorter than that -- in the high country, there's North Dome, Lembert Dome, Cathedral Lake, May Lake, 20 Lakes basin, Mono Pass, Parker Pass. From the valley, there's Nevada and Vernal Falls, Upper Yosemite Falls. Up on Glacier Point, there is Sentinel Dome and Taft Point and Dewey Point.
In Sequoia, there is Tokopah Falls, Muir Grove, Little Baldy, Heather Lake. If you are feeling adventurous, there is Mitchell Peak and Alta Peak. Also Mist Falls in Kings Canyon.
