I just re-read this thread...and I just don't see what you gained?
Not bashing the Ford, I am sure it is a fine truck....but I just don't see where you gained ANY real world capacity...

I gained $7,400 and max payload capacity (2008 GMC 2500HD 9200 GVWR versus 2011 Ford F350 10,800 GVWR). Loved the Duramax but didn't want my truck to be my daily driver anymore, so I traded down somewhat and still gained capacity to upgrade my camper to a slide at some point. It makes perfect sense to me, but I have been reading this forum (and others) long enough to know not everyone will agree with me.
