Did you even get around to checking out the mechanicals and electrical/electronics? Or did you walk away soley because of cosmetics? I agree with others, if you are that concerned with cosmetics, then buy new. If you put function before form, used will save you that depreciation.
I disagree. I look at both. Even if the mechanical are top notch, why would I want to drive something that's cosmetically beat up? Granted I'm not talking about a small ding or scratch, but the vehicle should look good and have no ripped seats or anything broken on the interior.
I walk away from anything that looks crappy, I always find what I want, at the price I'm looking for, that's both mechanically sound and looks great. Too many used vehicles out there to be forced to buy something crappy. I realize something like a dually is bit more rare but that's when you start driving a little farther from home to find what you need. Patience is the key.
