I DD'd my SRW 3500 for years and it's a comfortable ride, which is nothing like newer trucks.
You got a trailer for the future, get a truck for the future too.
Way too many people do way too much with 1/2 tons.
As far as the EcoBoost all of the reviews I have read state that it's a good empty or occasional towing motor but if you tow regularly get the NA 5.4, it will get better mileage towing and is only short a few hp which isn't noticed.
They haven't put the 5.4 in an F150 since 2010. Were you thinking of the 5.0?
Agree on the D-E rated tires over P's that come stock on F150's. My 2500 Ram rides about like my 2010 F150 with E's at 45PSI
