- DadoffourgirlsExplorerInteresting details of MT test towing
MT How Far can you Tow - aftermathExplorer IIIOK, here is another one...First though I am a guy who believes that electric vehicles are the thing of the future. Problem is, that future is still a long ways off, especially for anything long distance. If I were commuting to work every day in a big city I would probably own one.
Right now it all comes down to marketing. The more people willing to buy an EV, the more sales which make more cars and so on. In our local paper this morning they had a story about EVs, and mentioned Ford's "Frunk" F-150 that is coming soon. Yes, Frunk, as the battery will be in the frame, the motors located at the 4 wheels which leaves plenty of space under the hood for a "frunk". They said that they have 200,000 pre-orders and will not take any more at this time. WOW, what interest, what a great truck this should be! Then, I read that you could pre-order one with a $100 refundable deposit. Talk about marketing. - BenKExplorerLawrence...there are "new" one's every year... :B
IMHO...MT is now almost in class with Consumers
Where CR recommended the brand new AMC Matador as "best" and the next year listed it as the worst by subscriber survey results...AKA subscribers who bought based on CR's recommendation - danrclemExplorer

I like the trunk and pass thru but I think it also qualifies as the ugliest truck of the year.
bumpy
That thing brings ugly to a whole new level. - Nv_GuyExplorer IIIEvery time I think M/T has sunk to a new low regarding truck/car of the year they manage to lower the bar even more. By my measurements they are near the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

We have one at Walmart. :B - spectaExplorer
- Bird_FreakExplorer IIA endorsement from MT is worth less than a stick of gum.
- PA12DRVRExplorerIt's actually a fairly impressive vehicle...but even recognizing that most pickup trucks don't leave pavement, I don't know how well this would work for Billy Joe Bob in Fruita to drive through the muck with a load of feed, then back through the muck with a load of fenceposts, then drive 60 miles to Dove Creek for a baseball game, then on to Bayfield to see Grandma and Grandpa. If a truck isn't suited for the needs of the "truck users", can it be "Truck of the Year"?
