x2. In younger days I used to be big into mods, add-ons and gizmos; I've done the K&N thing, the lifted suspension thing, the large tire thing, the exhaust thing, the programmer thing, etc. etc...
...and what I learned is that,
for me, the $ spent and extra wear & tear on the truck were not worth the small performance gains.
The only "mod" I believe in is changing gear ratios, as that's acknowledged by the manufacturers to make enough difference in performance to affect tow ratings.
I used to think I knew more than the engineers; I no longer hold onto that fallacy.
Some love mods- it's their money so more power to 'em- but my experiences have led me to leave it stock and let the motor breathe & run as it was meant to from Day 1.
