Well there you have it. Go big, really big and get a diesel. Yes these make great tvs but keep in mind what your plans are.
If I was looking for a good DD, I would look at the Ford Ecoboost even though I am a Toyota guy. Ford has made a dependable truck that gets pretty good mileage when not towing. If your trailer is going to be less that 7000 lbs going down the road the Ecoboost will work nicely.
Of course, an F350 with a diesel would be better especially if you want to take along all sorts of things in the bed while pulling your light trailer. My Tundra pulls my trailer very nicely but I don't take and extra ton of things with me.
Give all of this some thought. If you are buying new it helps to pick something that will work for you in the long run. Perhaps a bigger truck does make sense if you plan on getting a bigger trailer sooner than later.
