First, it is OK to use airbags with a WD hitch. You need to get the truck like you want it and then Adjust the WD. If you change the amount of sag using air bags, you change the angle of the ball head and thus the weight transfer.
Secondly, ignore advice telling you to crank on the bars until the truck is level. In spite of what you are going to read from a lot of members here, the purpose of WD is not to level the truck, it's to return weight to the steering axle. Go to the towing section and memorize the stickies on how WD works, and the other one on how to set it up.
