7400 GVWR?

Unless you tow regularly in the mountains you can probably survive with another 1/2 ton. Upgrade to a gas 3/4 ton for more capacity/comfort zone.

The only reason you need a diesel for that weight is just if you want one...... And there is nothing wrong with that. If a diesel is what you seek look into the LBZ Duramax. A proven, reliable combo.
