With all of that weight pushing you down the long grade hills on I81 in the Roanoke VA area or maybe running East on US82 between Crossett and Lake Village Ark and meeting up with one of those hugh Georgia Pacific loaded trailers stacked up 13-feet tall doing around 70MPH on the two lane stretch of US82 there you probably wish you had a bigger truck. There is no escape... You will most definitely have a death grip on the truck steering wheel. The last thing I would always see was the on-coming truck driver with a big ole grin on his face...
Listen to the old school guys... 1/2ton trucks only good for up to something that weighs around 7500 lbs to be safe.
My 8900LBS 2004 Flagstaff 8528RESS 5th wheel that the dealer said "you can tow this baby with your F150 Ford" still sits in my camp back yard up against the woods after only about 300 miles on my first trip in it heading for Gatlinburg TN. I chickened out after the long hill beyond Roanoke VA. I knew right then this was not for me... Will be paid off next year and then I can give it to the kids to play with...
Good luck with the dealer if you ask if you can try it first before buying it.
