But I will stand by the notion that the closer you get to your limits, the less pleasant your towing experience. Too often I read about someone towing a 5900k trailer with TV rated for 6000# and they'll tell you, "yea, it tows great. No problems". Of course no problems. What they don't tell is that their rig is the only thing they've ever towed and have nothing to compare it to. It's when they buy a bigger tow vehicle they realize what they were missing.
