If the loaded weight doesn't go much over 7500 lbs., I think you'll be ok. Have you towed a TT before? Being close to your limits and having no experience might be a little dicey and some practice by driving to the weigh scale might help.
You have to learn to weed out the folks here that think a 1/2 ton is only good for a tent trailer. They seem to be stuck in the 70's and the newer technology has passed them by.
