I understand that the shop would call things they don't do stop gap measures, but they are far from that although you do need to do your mods in a priority order. The people here routinely suggest adding upper bump stops first which you didn't do, so that part of the work is what most of us would have suggested.

Supersprings perform the same function as adding a leaf, but of course, you don't need to do both.
