I use airbags to level as well. It takes 70psi in the driver side and 35 in the passenger side to get the rear wheel wells back to the same height as the unloaded truck. I figure it's the fuel tank, DEF tank, fridge, and a couple really heavy camper batteries causing the imbalance. I don't like having the airbags that much different, but it goes down the road just fine.
That does sound excessive. That would equate to about 1000lbs of unsuspended, out of balance load on one side, at the bag location (or more further inboard).
