- danrclemExplorerUnless I there's something with the fuel mileage test that I didn't get it has to be very flawed.
Looking at the rear of the Ford it looks like it's ready to launch. Awesome! - RubiranchExplorer

All three are so close that you just need to find one that fits your butt the best, and looks good on you.

They are made to be replaceable instead of changing the entire bed, you're welcome to your opinion but I think it looks great because I love Ford no matter what they look like or how cheaply they are built.
Oh yeah, it REALLY looks great the way they stick on that black plastic **** on the bottom of the REAL fender and then cover up half of it with the stick-on fender extension. Yeah, that looks REALLY good.
Couldn't they NOT apply the black stick-on plastic **** to the fenders that they are going modify into a dually fender? Or would that be TOO difficult for nearly the COST OF A HOUSE???!?!?!?
Or, couldn't they at least apply that black stick-on plastic **** to the bottom of the stick-on fender extension if we are to believe the purpose of it being there IN THE FIRST PLACE is to protect the fender? Pure idiocy.
It's ultimately just cheap cost-cutting that looks like ****, with absolutely no attention to detail. And you know why? Because people will buy ANYTHING they are told to without questioning questionable quality choices.
Even the last place RAM duallies have bodies that fit the rear wheels.
LOL...And this is coming from a person who drives around with blue sidewall tires. :R
BTW... And your ok with GM's low hanging DEF tank that sticks out low and gets bent on real work trucks? Took this picture the other day just of I-10.73guna wrote:

I like the looks of the Ford. That thing is a brute!
The new Ford F350/F450 looks like a jewel...Including the huge rear differential (Very impressive). As far as rear fenders they're fitted very well and look really good. In addition they allow good access to the bed unlike the rams swooping fenders that don't allow bed access.
Damage the rear fender on a ram or GM and the entire truck is going into a paint booth. Damage a fender on a Ford and simply order a new fender from the Ford dealer/body shop and swap it out in the garage. And yes I see a lot a DRW trucks with a rear fender busted.
I was looking at a new Ford F450 yesterday and was impressed at how well the front and rear fender fit the body. It looked first class.- HuntindogExplorerOnce upon a time duallys were primarily used as work trucks. That is no longer the case. Most today will live as a TV foe a fancy RV.
The stick on fenders no longer cut the mustard.
A rancher. farmer may be OK with it, as they often knock them off anyway. A typical RVer will be a lot more discriminating. It will get washed and waxed a lot. All those crevices will hold excess wax and look terrible. Then the double sided tape holding them on will start to let go, making it even worse.
As for the occasional accident, it is not normally necessary to replace the entire bed.. Just the bed side, which is pretty easy and costs about the same as the fender, with better paint matching results.
Ford is simply cutting a corner on an expensive vehicle. Kind of like Cadillac did at the start of it's decline - LessmoreExplorer II

I like the looks of the GMC 3500...it is a brute also...but in looks a refined brute. ;) I also like the positioning of the GMC exhaust pipe...looks like a straight shooter :D...compared to the Ford and RAM. - ggoat___Explorer

It does look like one body part has been attached right over another complete body part. I suppose as the other poster says, it had to be done that way to make the rear fenders easily replaceable, but it does look odd, quite unlike anything I've seen before.
On the other hand as it is a F 350, which is primarily a work truck, I don't know if looks are that important. It's a truck first and foremost, after all.
Makes me think of our old '68 Merc M250 (same as '68 Ford F250 with trim differences) was a work truck. It wasn't pretty like a '68 Mustang, but then the purpose was completely different than the 'stang. - 73gunaExplorerIm a butt man, so I like this pic...
