My 2006 SCab F-150 with the 5.4L got excellent mileage as long as I kept my foot out of it. Cruising two lane highways at 55 to 65 I consistently saw 19 or 20 mpg. Around town but not city driving, 16 to 17 was common. Adding a Scan Gauge enabled me to get a good handle on how to maximize economy. Leaving a stop sign or light and keeping it under 2,000 rpm worked wonders. :C
