Tell me this how does the truck feel with a huge camper and all its weight on the truck? Does the truck drive differently? I have the power and I have the brakes and what ever to handle this. Any comments or experience that you could share with us?

I owned 3 different 5th wheel RVs before buying my first truck camper. The wife and I bought a TC. because we wanted something more agile. We routinely traveled on rather long trips and dragging around a 5th wheel became rather tedious when we were staying in places a night or two at a time. If I was going somewhere to spend a week or two, I would prefer a 5th wheel.

I kept the last 5th wheel from 2003 until 2012. We have not missed it and we sold it because we were always traveling in the truck camper. In 2010 and 2011 it was used 4 or 5 times by my children and 2 times by me to go to Bristol for the NASCAR races. I will be going to Bristol this year in the TC - just two of us.

The truck will appear heavy at first until you become accustomed to the top heavy TC. With the right truck and the correct setup, pretty soon you will become too comfortable :).

I have the big brother to the 855S (the 1050S) on a RAM 3500 Dually and could not ask for a better setup.
