Bgood, thanks for the info. Discount Tire quoted me an estimated $70 to remove the tires, install new pull through metal stems, refill, balance, and re-mount the tires. I thought that was fair, just don't know what stems to buy.
I'm thinking like you as well. We're leaving in 2 weeks and I'm not sure I can get it done before we leave, may do rubber this first trip.
