I'm your age but we've been RVing for quite a while, i'd start out with something that your TV will comfortably tow, under 6500lbs loaded imhi. You'll have to mostly look at what layouts are out there that suit your needs - with a 1/2 ton i'm a fan of the lower profle TT's with the 1/2 slides, they are much easier to tow. We previously had a 29ft Dutchmen lite in the 7000lb range that I towed with my F150 Ecoboost and it was a great combination that we enjoyed until my wife fell in love with a larger unit..... that happens!
I like the Terrain 250TRS of the one's you are looking at, seems to offer a lot of open space and will work well with kids or friends.
