I appreciate all the help from everyone, definitely got me thinking about different options.
As for hybrid trailers, I've seen many that I really do like, unfortunately I slept under canvas many years between tents/pop-ups, and really am just really to move my camping experience into a TT. The new hybrids have so much room, and so much sleeping space, I just don't "love sleeping under canvas".
I agree with the point of buying what we need now, and I completely agree kids will change the game. I think what were trying to avoid though is a TT that just really dosen't work with kids. Our camping trips include many kids, nephews, nieces, cousins, ect. Their parents have helped us think about options that are more kid friendly. In reality, our new TT will only be kid free this summer, next we plan on having a rugrat, so we don't want to get a completely kid unfriendly TT.
We went today to check out the Outbacks suggested earlier, and really really loved the 260trs. It has everything we want. The only downsides are a lack of floor space in the main living area, and lack of outside storage. Otherwise it checked all the boxes.
Keep those suggestions coming! I drove 3 hours today (one way) to check out a previous suggestion, who knows how far I'll drove tomorrow.
