I just purchased a used TT that has a GVWR of 7500 lbs. The tires are 205's with a C load range of 1820 lbs. So 4 tires gives me a total support for 7240 lbs. I know the tongue weight is supported ...

there is no evidence that maxxis tires are in the top 50% of tire quality
your best bet is to get a higher load capacity in pounds
you can go up in size
or go up in load range
or do both
it is less about brand than it is about load rating
a load range d in a loadstar would be an improvement
a better one would be a 215 or 225 load range D or E
