We have only owned two travel trailers since upgrading from a popup. Reasons include:
1. cost
2. lower profile makes it easier to wash and wax
3. floor plans of our Sunline and now, our Minnie work for us.
4. Purchase of Minnie was a deliberate downsizing and made it possible to tow with our Tundra and not have to purchase a different truck.
5. Many prefer a trailer because you can tow with a 1/2 ton truck or other smaller, less expensive tow vehicle.
If we were going to be snowbirds and live in a RV for 3+ months per winter, then I would want a FW and a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. But, for our 1-2 month winter trips, we are quite happy with the Minnie.
