I suppose I am just leery of the forced injection on vehicles sold to the normal American customer. I just see a disaster in the future. Maybe not to the original buyer who buys often. But at least on the re sale market or the person who expects to keep their vehicle longer.
The computer will keep track of how often you put your foot to the floor. Of course if that isn't covered by the warranty. A Lawyer would argue that Ford should have put a block of wood under the gas pedal.
I would expect there to be a 36,000 mile warranty. I wonder how the warranty service will be to the second buyer in the case of a failure within the warranty period.
The Dodge Hellcat is 702 HP out of 6.2 supercharged liters. That's about the same percentage of the 2.7 and 3.5. Scary!
But it is rated at 22mpg Highway by the EPA. 13 city. It will be about 64 grand. Not that much more than the loaded f150, (about 20% I guess) and if your driving to impress I'd go with the Hellcat.
I am guessing about 6 mpg in real world driving would be a great number. A person driving that car won't be worried about mpg.
