Two points:
#1: it wasn't a recall. It was a TSB ("technical service bulletin") for vehicles demonstrating certain performance issues. Big difference. There are dozens of TSBs issued for every newer vehicle. Personally, I find them somewhat comforting -- I know no vehicle is going to be perfect, and I like that the mfgr is still working to improve their product, and not just dumping it on the consumer to figure out like in the 'old days.' Show me a vehicle w/o any TSBs, and I'll show you a manufacturer who isn't supporting their product.
#2: 95 complaints doth not a "significant issue" make, especially out of 500,000 some odd engines!
Yeah, limp mode in high humidity has occurred on the ecoboost in some occasions. But it is an issue that the TSB seems to fix, and it is far less widespread than the internet would leave one to believe.
