What concerns me about this thread is the total disregard for any criticizing of the new f150.
Jus2shy wrote a well thought out post and the reply is, 'so!'.
The same with the links that I posted of the obvious Magnesium fire. I am certain that there aren't any ford engineers or exc. that would make some of the statements made in this thread.
This thread went crazy because of all the ad hominym attacks. The off topic answers. Not the questions.
There is obviously a magnesium fire in the links I posted. I asked a simple question and the answer I got was 'so!'. What's wrong with dying in a car fire.
If you don't have a answer for a question don't reply with an attack on the questioner. This is a forum for people to learn. For every person who posts on this forum there are a GREAT many that don't and won't because of the attacks by some on this board.
Because it's ludicrous to compare a 100% magnesium part of 50 years ago to an aluminum alloy with 2% magnesium in it.
100% magnesium parts burn and can't be put out with water. That's why they are not generally allowed on race cars. Aluminum alloy parts don't and that's why they are.
That's why people are saying; so.
