Yup...another check off box to increase their offerings and profit for both initial sales and after in parts/service
Had this on my Dune Buggy built from an old VW bug back in 1968-9. Corvair six and gear box. Built engine from a Spyder with loooong induction runners...IIRC about 18's long each and I added velocity stacks from JC Whitney that must have increased it another 4 inches or so
VW Bug's have a handle parking brake on the tunnel. Juck yard a 2nd handle and hardware. Cut the cable loop at the handle and weld in the other handle on the other side of the tunnel.
Nail the throttle and pull one of those rear parking brake handles and turn the steering wheel to the same side you just pulled and it would turn on a dime...on that one tire that has now stopped rolling. Mostly going up sand dunes...really tall sand dunes and then run down in almost the same tracks you went up
Scary the first couple of times AFTER buddy showed me...as copied his setup and too chicken to do so on my own the first couple times
