I had old Chevy wagon, parked street on hill. Snow would melt, run under cars and freeze. Whole line of cars stuck. I put hole in floor, hooked a cable to park brake cable. RR start to spin, pull the cable, that wheel would slide on ice as I pulled away.
Ag tractors have used brakes for steering forever. About 9YO, mowing with the John Deere. Get to corner, stomp right pedal. When pointed they way you want to go, lift right kick left lightly. Keep hands away from wheel when turning.
But that is not the max way a skid steer turns.
