You're only so good as the wall you're attaching to.

Looks good and as CarterKraft has mentioned, be careful about running the furnace if TV mounted outside.

I will be doing the same or at least very similar but I would caution about running the furnace with the TV mounted out there. The high temperature exhaust will surely not be welcomed by the TV. I am sure you are aware of this and will plan accordingly but I imagine some others may not.

It's a solid setup. I'm happy with how it turned out.

Although I didn't need a stud finder to mount the outside bracket I had one and tested it in the area I knew there was a stud. It was like my past experiences using a stud finder in the house, I would only count on it as additional evidence of a stud. Sometimes it indicated one, sometimes it didn't and the edge indications weren't always the same. Again, in this case it didn't matter for me as I was able to "see" the stud and make reference measurements off it, giving me a much higher level of confidence that I wasn't drilling in the wrong place.

Well I have to say this went much better than I expected. I finished up mounting the TV and both mounts I used are fantastic. Both very well made, high quality, sturdy and this little project turned out exactly the way I had hoped. Here are some photo's:

The outside mount was much easier than I anticipated. This was only because I was able to open the refrigerator vent and could actually get a visual on a stud. Nonetheless it was still very nerve wracking drilling holes into the side of the camper. I used the screws and anchors that came with the mount plate and after placing the anchors in the holes I squirted a bunch of silicone in the holes before setting the screws. They went in nice and strong with solid hold, I feel good that there won't be any issues. The bracket is just to the left of the fridge vent:

I agree, it's over priced, but it should be exactly what I need.

I like the price. It doesn't solve my issue though. I want a mount that can be used in 2 locations. The one I purchased is made for that. A quick check inside the box, it appears to be quite solid and well made.

Check out this TV mount for 15 - 27" flat panel TV's, $9.89 shipped on Amazon Prime. I've mounted two TV monitors at our church with these mounts. Nice articulating mount for the price.
