An inflation chart is not a recommended pressure. It just gives a tyre's load capacity at a given pressure. A vehicle's recmmended pressure is the manufacturer's compromise between performance, wear and ride. Granted, you don't want to run 80 psi on the rears of an empty truck. Ram gives empty and loaded recommended pressures for their trucks. Recommended front pressures don't change but the rears vary between 45 psi and 75 psi depending on load. What does Ford do?
