I agree that Unimogs are ugly, but in my (technical) life I learn to see the value behind the beauty.
When looking at a house, I value solid foundation more than Viking oven in the kitchen.
Unimogs being pretty old design are still hard to beat in serious offroading. You will find youtube clip showing one of those thing climbing 4 feet tall concrete wall.
