Can anyone recommend a good underbelly repair tape? I looked on Amazon and I'am seeing mixed reviews on different products. Looks like most are 4 inch wide but wider would be better. I need to seal up some sagging underbelly material around the dump valves. Also looking for. Good RV quality expansion foam for underbelly too. Thanks

I used black Gorilla tape to seal the bottom after I cut it open to fix a gate valve. Gorilla tape will stick to everything. I use Great Stuff to seal the holes.

X2 for Gorilla tape. I used it quite a bit on my old camper.

"Scrim shield" tape is designed for use on RVs (and boats, mobile homes, etc). It's a woven fabric material that looks like the Darco fabric used underneath an RV. Has a very aggressive adhesive that lasts. Won't tear easily like Gorilla tape. It's only available in 180' rolls (AFAIK) and rather expensive though. I bought a few feet of it from an RV dealer for emergency repairs for a couple of $$.

Gorilla tape is waaay cheaper and is probably the number 1 reason a dealer would use it and why owners would use it as well. Gorilla doesn't say their tape is waterproof but has this to say "We’ve found that Gorilla Tape will last a lot longer than regular duct tapes when it comes in contact with moisture". Scrim tape on the other hand is waterproof according to the manufacturer.

I'd rather use the right product for the application rather than a all-purpose, one-size-fits-all one. If you use either tape on the coroplast underbelly material, don't expect it to last very long.

I've never used Gorilla tape. Is it waterproof like Eternabond?

I used Eternabond tape about 6 years ago, still holding. Just clean the coroplast well before using the tape.

Use this as a Google Search "Surface Shields Scrim Shield Tape" you will find this considerably less expensive than Amazon sells it for. Their so called free shipping isn't really free.

Also, if you've got a larger section to repair go get you a 'for sale' sign from one of the big box stores. It's coroplast plastic and works great, as was already mentioned.
