As you can see, you can use the scales to determine a lot of information by making several trips and weighing different combinations.
All of this is interesting but what I am interested in is.
+ Am I within the vehicle's max cargo rating with the TT hitched up and loaded for the road.
+ Is each axle within its weight rating with the rig combination road ready and within the allowable combined weight.
+ How much did the truck weight change when I added that TT. This gives me the effective tongue weight with the WD hitch.
To do this I weigh the truck, then weigh the truck and trailer when both are ready for the trip.
Over time I have found that both the tongue weight and TT weight is trip dependent and can easily vary by several hundred pounds depending upon what I am hauling how it is loaded.
