Understanding Cat Scale

Here I go.
I had the truck and Trailer weighted and would like your understanding of what it means.

First the truck is a Ford F-150,2015,supercrew ,3.5 ecoboost,4x4,max tow, 157' wheel base 6 speed,3.55 electronic lock, integrated break controller power mirrors, GVWR 7050, GCWR 17100, tow capacity 10700, steer axle 3525 drive axle 3800.

Second the trailer, 2015 Outdoors Timber ridge 24rks was camping ready appox. 40 gallons of water, appox 5 gallons in waste and gray
tanks both gas bottles full(60#)

Truck loaded full tank of gas, fire wood, wife and dogs

Scale info Steer axle 3260#, Drive axle 3600,trailer axle 6820, gross wt. 13680

  • You need three weights for a bumper pull trailer.

    First TV front and rear axles and trailer axle with WD engaged.

    Second TV front and rear axles and trailer axle with WD disconnected.

    Third TV only front and rear axles.

    Then you can determine if you have adequate tongue weight and if the WD is set correctly.

  • It all means you're good to go. You are 200 lbs under your GVW and over 3,000 lbs under your GCW. That is all that can be determined from the scale readings you got.
