congradulations, don. this wait is going to be excruciating. it was akin to the birth of my first born!!! great minds think alike; same color as my longhorn. larry's post is more appropriate than he probably thought. it's a beautiful pearl color but tougher to keep clean than black! as soon as you get your vin, which should be just a matter of a couple of days, go to the "update" thread @ ramforumz.com & notify spp. he'll give you daily updates on the progress. the waiting game will be painful pleasure.

No idea as to the payload but with the 3:92 gears in the 4X4, it should come in around 1300 with 4 passengers (per the web-site). Could not order the air suspension as it was blacked out :M and had to go with the bucket seats to get the premium sound system. Did go with the 20" black wheels instead of the 17".Now I have to sell the 2500 before the 2015 shows up! LOL As for the wait no idea but I hope I have this one gone before the new one shows up or Mamma is not going to be happy with me :EDon

UPDATE! Picking up the 2015 Eco-Diesel Friday/Saturday! :)

Boy you said a mouthful there. :W I suppose you can add fuel filter's to that list too $$$$$,

Perhaps the aftermarket will produce a respectable oil filter for a fraction of the cost and someone will start to import more of that special euro oil to drive cost down. Not sure what it's going to take to bring diesel fuel below the cost of gasoline and drive the operating cost down. :h

There is some consensus in the ED forums that the Ram filter will fit both, but the Jeep Cherokee filter will fit only the Jeep. It is apparently a matter of the location of a rubber o-ring on the filter.

My mistake. Thanx for the correction, don. trade pretty often & this truck will probably long gone before my free filter changes expire. I am anxious to see who tries them & hope for good outcomes, though.

Sorry but they are Italian LINK as for buying a $7.00 filter to protect your $15,000+ (replacement cost) engine, nope not me. There are tons of those $8.00 filters on EBay buy 6 @ $48.00 LINK funny part is it says it only fits the Jeep, but the Mopar OEM filter fits the Jeep and Ram models.

If you do buy them make sure you pick this up for a back up plan Link

Pay a little now or pay a lot later, if you can't afford the maintenance on a $48,000/58,000 truck maybe a gasser should be in the driveway. Just saying.

Good lessen in not believing everything you read on the net. If my oil change had not been free, the service dept would have charged $161. I'm sure you can find some prices to substantiate your spin, but guys on the diesel forum are buying filters & oil for $80-85 for diy. To set the quantity straight, it's 11 qts. Mustangshawn thinks he has found a source for replacement filters for $7 in bulk. As of yet not confirmed. And before you jump on the cheap price bare in mind the mopar unit is a typical questionable Chinese quality unit built by a company called ufi.not ready to jump on that bandwagon yet but anxiously watching.

Both are accurate, actually. For what ever reason, ram ecodiesels purchased in the southeastern region come with the first 4 oil changes at no charge. The rest of t he country seem to be at the mercy of the local dealer.
