Hate to bust your C Channel frame bubble but no they are not! Ford is only rating the 2015 F-150 maybe. They came out and said the other trucks will not us the new standards until they get a complete make over. Ram has adopted it for every pick up.
And BTW my 2015 Ram 1500 does not have rear coil springs. Nice try though! :B
#1)The f150 is full box frame, not C channel.
#2)you have coil spring rear suspension if you have an 09 or newer fiat 1500. unless its the air suspension, in which case its still a wandering multilink.
That is what I ordered "air suspension". So I take it you won't be buying a 2015 Eco-diesel then? :B

you'd be correct. different strokes for different folks, hope the truck works out well for you. I just found the payload cap on the ED's to be pretty silly considering the hype prior to release. Just intended to do some good hearted ribbing.
Not sure what hype you are talking about, the only hype I recall was for the fuel mileage not it's towing ability.
As far as payload goes not sure why anyone would buy a F-150 then order a hd tow package and hd payload that puts it into the 250 ratings for the same or more money. Can you get a 250 with the EB engine? If not Ford should really think about offering that IMO.
I'm buying the truck that fits our needs right now and for the foreseeable future. If I needed a truck with 3000# payload I would just order the right tool and that would not be a beefed up 1/2 ton truck. But as you said "different strokes for different folks".
