Our 2008 Honda CRV AWD would get 26 MPG on freeway, the 2012 Touareg with 3.0 TDI and AWD and 5000#s gets 30 -32 mpg, all the time, when not towing a trailer, a bit less come the cold of winter, maybe 28 or 29.
Hoping Dodge Perryboy gets his Eco broken in soon enough so we can see some towing numbers for mpg come next spring, when it warms up a bit.
Well unless I borrow a trailer from someone that's not going to happen very soon :( . We sold the Cougar last Oct and do not plan on getting a replacement anytime soon (I think). BUT, Camping World just opened up shop next door to the Bass Pro Shop about 7 miles from me and Mamma has said "we should stop in CW and see what they have :) .
If we do buy it won't be much longer then 25' with no more then 7200# GVWR.
The Outdoorsman I ordered is in the paint shop right now and should go into final assembly late to night or early morning (tuesday). The Laramie has not been started yet :( and that is the one I'm going to buy.
IdaD is the first person that I have heard reporting low fuel numbers

he was at 14 and change on that particular tank.
There are now 2 E-diesels at the plant I work at and both are guys from New York from closed plants. Both drive back on the weekends when they can and are reporting between 27-32 MPG. If they hit a strong head wind they drop to the 27 mark and both have the 3:55 gears in 4X4 short box trucks. One is a Outdoorsman and the other is a Limited.
Hybridhunter for someone that hates diesels why do you post in diesel threads? We get it buddy you hate anything that does not have a blue oval on the grill and gasoline in the tank.
