You are right about Fiat quality now. But I was a bit worried when they first took over dodge.
I hadn't kept up with them since I was in Germany during the 70's. I was thinking about buying one of them. It was a cute little boxy car, ran great. Looked a lot like the little BMW's. But in Germany they rusted out from under you.
Times have certainly changed. Factories are so mechanized now. Construction of a decent vehicle is not the weak point. It's the design.
Unfortunately a lot of design testing is left to the customer in the first year or so.
Dodges reputation has sure improved in the years since Fiat took over.
