From what I understand it's pretty typical for a modern gas V8 pulling a full size enclosed trailer. I had a '99 Ram 1500 for a while with a 5.9l. That engine was so awful it made the Ford 5.4l look like the very model of efficiency.

I dunno, I've had several of both and could keep both those trucks at an 8mpg easily without breaking a sweat. Hahaha
The EcoD is the real deal! Hope they hold up well.
