Don, you do know the tires on that trailer are 205-70-14's. And that the speed limit on those tires is not to exceed 55 mph. They mean it on that speed limit, when you add swaying sideways to the sidewalls while trailering, however minute, that is, it's brutal on the sidewalls of the tires, and the tire temperatures skyrocket, which of course can then lead to tread failure.
14" wheels on a travel trailer is a permanent invitation to slow going. For me, it's an 11.5 to 12 hour day, with breaks and meals to log 500 miles in a day in the Touareg TDI while trailering. 400 miles is more my preference, given the choice. I usually want to get past the desert and climb up a bit in elevation to around 5000 feet somewhere in Utah in the summer time, where temps are cooler, so I can overnight in the TT before driving the rest of the way to Yellowstone National Park. That's about 500 mile.
