Re. Ecodiesel badge. Leave it on. It causes envy wherever you go.


This is normal, with any diesel. Air density is higher/thicker due to colder air in the winter, and it takes your motor and drive train a lot longer to get up to normal operating temperatures in the winter. All of these are increased drag and take more fuel consumption.
