We currently have a Toyota Tacoma 2 wheel drive standard cab that gets about 22 around town and up to 30 mpg on the freeway. It handles 90% of our hauling needs.

The new Ram 1/2 ton diesel gets about the same mpg, seats 4 and can tow 8,000 pounds. It sounds like a great truck for anyone who doesn't tow or carry heavy.
