BTW the lie-o-meter shows 17.9 MPG now, with half a tank of fuel left, can't remember the mileage though. About 50/50 city highway.
There's a couple guys selling a nice AL fuel filler plug. It's on ebay among other places. When I lose the sorry plastic plug, I'll buy one of the AL ones.
EVIC mpg accuracy. For the first half dozen fill-ups I hand calculated mpg. It was within 0.5mpg of what the EVIC reported each time. After that I quit bothering to do it by hand. Most reports I've read indicated the same surprising accuracy, not all tho.
Aux tank. I put a 12gal aux tank in the ED. I went small because I didn't want to make a big dent in the 7800lb tow capacity. I really like the extended towing range which lets me plan my refuel stop at the least cost diesel station, or make it all the way if I'm in a hurry.
