Ford has been using capless fillers for several years. I've not heard of any problems with it. We've owned two.
Capless fillers on diesel fuel tanks, which is hygroscopic and sucks moisture out of the air? Funny how Ford claims water damage on High Pressure Fuel Pumps by Bosch, and rusted pumps.
It's going to be a fun hunt for motor oil for the do it yourselfers for this truck engine. Walmart won't be on the list of where to get oil, nor the Jiffy Lube places with high school drop outs that assume because it says "diesel", any old Delo, or Rotella or Turbo diesel truck oil will work.
I've read this motor takes 8 liters and I've read it takes 10 liters of motor oil. At $10 to 13 a liter, plus a $65 oil filter, it's going to be close to 130 to $160 in parts alone, for the right oil. C3 oil is hard to find, period.
