Funny though. Some car dealers/manufacturers will advertise the miles per gallon of their cars/trucks but use the canadian gallon. Makes it look impressive. :) Canadians love to whine about fuel prices (I'm one of them) and compare to the US but many are comparing the price of a Canadian gallon to a US gallon when they do the conversion. Gotta use the same system when doing that...and the same currency. I know guys at work that gripe about paying 4.50 a gallon when it is 2.50 in the US. Of course they used Canadian gallons and Canadian currency. A dollar a litre works out to 3.80 Canadian per gallon or about 2.66 American. Still pricier than many places in the US but actually cheaper than where we are in California right now. We filled up with diesel at 1.01 per litre in our hometown last week.
