there are a few difference due to canadian requirements vs. U.S. but AFAIK canadian versions are ok in the U.S. but NOT the other way around. For example candian vehicles have different DRL requirements that few if any U.S. vehicles have. Importing one to Canada can be a real hassle when trying to register it since that is one thing that will be checked.
The canadian version of course meets the canadian requirements. Dash warning icons are different for U.S. and Canadian versions as well.
And in some cases the nomenclature may be slightly different than the U.S. version, along with a few different std. vs. optional accy.
As an example our 2019 Acura MDX hybrid is U.S. version but the Canadian version in addition to the DRL requirement has a couple of features not on U.S. models and some of the warning icons are different between U.S. and Canadian models, along with Metric readout (which can be changed)
Sale in the U.S. as a NEW vehicle may be an issue, but as a used vehicle it is likely entirely different.
